This is the second incarnation of my canoe sailing rig. It uses a fiberglass windsurging mast(red) for the top half of the mast. The sail is a recycled 420 sail. The boom is made from 1" pvc pipe. The sail is reefed around the boom because the red spar was also recycled and not quite long enough. There are two sidestays made of ordinary rope fastened with a 2:1 purchase system.
